Ms Pearcy and Mrs Stores introduced Forest School to Coquet Park in 2015 and it has been a bit hit with all of the children who attend.
The Queen's Birthday
Coquet Park helped the Queen celebrate her 90th birthday on Friday 10th June, we all dressed up in red, white and blue, made crowns and waved flags at our garden party.
Sport Relief 2016
Everyone really enjoyed the zumba sessions and healthy cake stall for Sport Relief and together we raised:

Children's Cancer Run
There was a great turn out from Coquet Park at the Children's Cancer Run 2016 at Gosforth Park.
We all had a great time running, jogging or even walking the 1, 3 and 5 mile courses. Well done to everyone who took part and helped to raise money for the NECCR. We hope to see you all again next year!
M.E Awareness Day
We all turned blue at Coquet Park on Friday 13th May 2016 to raise awareness of M.E. We dressed up and had a blue cake stall and raffle tickets were sold all week after school.
In total we managed to raise a fantastic £745.07 for the charity!!

World Book Day

May Day 2016
Well done to everyone who took part in our May Day celebrations this year.
We all had a fantastic afternoon watching traditional dancing performances from each class despite the odd rain shower!

School Games 2016
The School Games at Coquet Park were a great success with all children taking part in the sporting activities.
Healthy Week 2016
Healthy Week was a huge success this year and the children embraced all of the activities on offer.
They enjoyed a yoga session with Relax Kids, circuits with GB Olympian Sally Scott , Cricket with Access Coaching, Athletics with Bruce Robertson and Zumba with Decote Dance.
Nursery Visit Kirkley Hall
The nursery children had a wonderful time meeting all of the animals at Kirkley Hall zoo.
Nursery Games 2016
The children celebrated the end of their year at Coquet Park nursery with a sports games session. Parents, family and friends came along to cheer them on!

Nursery End of Year Assembly
Everyone enjoyed the end of year performance from Nursery. The children were very brave and performed some of their favourite songs and dances of the year on stage!
We were very lucky to have a visit from Zoolab. Each class had the chance to hold and touch lots of different creatures, from milipedes to snakes!!
Reception celebrate Holi Festival
Reception class enjoyed some colourful messy fun on the school field as they celebrated Holi Festival.
Year 1 Assembly
Year 1 worked very hard to learn all of their words for the assembly and they all modelled their fabulous hats for the audience!

The children visited The Hancock museum as part of their Dinosaur topic.

Cragside was a wonderful place for the Year 1 class to visit.
Year 2 at North Tyneside Dance Festival
Year 2 represented Coquet Park at the North Tyneside Dance Festival 2016. They did a fantastic job on stage at the Whitley Bay Playhouse. Well Done Year 2!!
Year 2 - Africa
Year 2 were visited by Lynne Symonds, a retired teacher, founder of The Wulugu Project and an honorary African Chief. Lynne has worked in Africa for many years and her charity has helped build and restore over 40 schools in Ghana. She told us all about life for children in the Ghanaian village of Wulugu.
Year 2 - The Great Fire of London
Year 2 were on stage for an assembly all about The Great Fire of London.
Year 3 at the North Tyneside Dodgeball Festival
Year 3 had a great time at the Dodgeball Festival held at Monkseaton High School.
R.E in Year 3
Year 3 visited St Mary's Church in Whitley Bay and also had a visit from Stuart and Claire Earl who told us all about their special place of worship - Lanchester Methodist Church.
Year 3 meet 'That History Bloke'
Year 3 had a very interesting and interactvie visit from 'That History Bloke'
Paramedics visit Year 3
The paramedics arrived at school for Year 3 to learn about First Aid and life as a paramedic.
Year 3 visit The Centre for Life
Year 3 had a fantastic time at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. The ice rink was a big hit!
Year 4 Kablooey Club
The after school Year 4 science club ran by Newcastle University is great fun!
Year 4 Hockey Tournament
Year 4 represented Coquet Park at the Whitley Bay Schools Hockey Tournament held at Marden Bridge Middle School.
Year 4 visit Beamish
Year 4 experienced school life in Victorian times when they visited Beamish.
Year 4 visits to Brierdene

Year 4 enjoyed visiting the Egyptian exhibition as the Hancock museum.
Year 4 make electric switches
Year 4 learnt how to make a switch during an electrifying science lesson!
Year 4 Fiver Challenge
The Year 4 class took part in the Fiver Challenge which is Young Enterprise’s nationwide challenge for 5 - 11 year olds. The children were each given £5 to invest into a business idea of their own to see if they could turn a profit.
Year 4 Hawkhirst Residential Trip
Year 4 had a fabulous time at Hawkhirst for a week long residential trip. They all took part in bell boating, raft building, asbseiling, crate stacking, archery, the zip wire, the climbing wall and even visited the Bird of Prey centre. It was certainly an action packed, fun filled week!!

We have enjoyed a Mother's Day flower sale and cake pops for Father's Day, Christmas movie night, Easter Disco and Summer BBQ to name a few of the fantastic events!
