STEM WEEK - 2025
This year's STEM week at Coquet Park saw us embark upon being Engineers. We explored Science, Technology, Maths and Design and Technology, using our engineering skills. We were lucky to have engineers visit us from Nissan and Northumbria University. We discovered the different types of engineers we could be. Y4's designed and made pneumatic and hydraulic bridges, Y3 designed and built catapults, Y2's made moving ladders for their fire engines and Y1 designed and made cars In Reception, they constructed their own version of the Spanish City and Nursery made moving toys. Throughout the week we also had fun taking part in a paper aeroplane competition, seeing whose aeroplane could fly the furthest. All this culminated in an exhibition at the end of the week to share with parents and carers all of our learning
