A HUGE well done to Year 2 for winning their Skipping Competition! We went up against 5 other schools and won a collection of bronze, silver and gold medals for our skipping skills.
On 13 March 2019, singers all over the world celebrated Sing Up Day. Over 64,000 people in more than 300 events across 30 countries took part.
Coquet Park were amongst those involved. We appear at around 49 secs.

We celebrated May Day with out amazing dancing - a real annual Coquet Park treat.
We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters. We brought in an old book that we had read and enjoyed, and awapped it for a different book.
Nursery has an exciting morning in the company of these lovely creatures, which were brought into school by "Animal Antics"
Year 1 had a visit from Animal Antics in relation to their science topic "Animals, Including humans"
The Choir took part in the Spring Sing and performed at the Whitley Bay Playhouse.
Year 1 had a visit from Seven Stories. We shared the book "The Smartest Giant in Town"
Year 4 are looking at Rivers this term. They built a river and watched how it changed it's path and meandered round objects.
Year 4 had an enterprise day working with Primary Enterprise World and volunteers from the local community. We looked at Our nation and the landmarks in the UK. We budgeted for a community event and then looked at setting up a business, making sure that it was environmentally friendly.
This half term, nursery has been transformed into a "Once upon a time" world.
Oh No!! Somebody has made a terrible mess in the Three Bears cottage. We needed to investigate...
Gymnastics, Dodge Ball and Hockey with Year 3.
Year 3 took part in a Dodge Ball sessions in PE and took part in a Dodge Ball tournament.
Year 4 attended the North Tyneside Hockey tournament and one of our teams got through to the finals.
Year 3 took part in an arts project with the local company Northern Print. The project was called "Tidemarks: Printing Plastics, and Our Coastline".

Year 3 took part in some Handball sessions in PE and attended a Handball tournament in which we made it to the Semi-Finals!!
We had some E-Safety workshops to help keep us safe online.
STEM Week in Nursery
Year 1 worked with Surfers against Sewage to do a Beach Clean on Whitley Bay Beach
The RNLI came to work with us in Year 3, and teach us how to keep ourselves safe at the beach.
Year 4 Visited Cragside House to find out about Victorian inventions.
Year 3 took part in a football tournament.

Year 4 visited the Great North Museum to find out all about the Ancient Egyptians.
Year 4 attended the North Tyneside Fencing competition...and ended up winning it. Well done Year 4!!!
All the classes took part in Christmas Craft activities. We had a great few days making Christmassy things!

Year 4 sent a tag rugby team to the Access Coaching North Tyneside Rugby tournament on Friday the 19th October.
They worked really well as a team and not only came top of their group, but went on to win the champions league making them the tournament's overall winners.

Congratulations for a very successful Eco Day at Coquet Park ending with the grand opening of our Eco Greenhouse by the Rotary Club. The Green Ambassadors presented the Rotary Club with a tree on which every child at school added a finger print.
Harvest Songs at Eastbourne
Year 4 visited Eastbourne House, a local home for the elderly, to share some of our harvest festival songs (and a drink and biscuit)
A selection of items made by the children for Harvest 2018. The items were sold and the funds raised were used to support of our sponsorship of Noelia, our Bolivian World Vision child.
Year 2 biscuits fundraiser
The donations for the Year 2 biscuits raised £45 which will go towards our annual sponsorship of Noelia, our World Vision child in Bolivia.
MacMillan Coffee Morning
We had a very enjoyable and successful coffee morning where we raised £200 for MacMillan Cancer Support
